A grandparents and grandchildren photo
Some grandchildren were born too late, or live too far away, to get a photo with their grandparents. Upload one photo of each person and we make a new picture of them together at home.

How do I make a photo of grandparents with their grandchildren?
- Upload one clear photo of each grandparent and each grandchild, up to five people in all.
- The "Grandparents" setting is already picked: together on a sofa at home, the grandchildren between them.
- Optional: a note like "reading a picture book together" or "in the garden".
- Look at the free preview, and keep the full-size picture from $6.99 if you like it.
When a grandparent has passed away
This is often for a grandparent the child never met. They appear at the age they are in their photo, next to the child as the child is now.
If you already have a family photo you want them in, use the add option on our grandparents page instead.
Photo tips
- For a baby or small child, a photo where their face is clear and not covered works best.
- Old prints of a grandparent are fine. Photograph them in daylight, flat and without flash.
- Each photo should show one person. Crop group photos down first.

Finished pictureQuestions
How many people can be in it?
Two to five, one photo each. Two grandparents and three grandchildren is the most in one picture.
What if the grandchild is a baby?
That works. Use a clear photo of the baby’s face. Check the free preview, and if the pose is not right, add a note like "Grandma holding the baby" and try again.
Can I add a grandparent to a photo we already have?
Yes. Use the add option and upload your family photo first. Our grandparents page shows how.
